Milan are the absolute favourites to sign Kaio Jorge, with reports in South America that he agreed personal terms and is refusing a Santos extension.
His current deal only runs to December 31, so the 19-year-old would be a free agent from January.
That is allowing Milan to keep their offer relatively low at €4m plus bonuses, hoping that Santos will accept rather than risk losing him for nothing.
According to TyC Sports, Kaio Jorge has agreed personal terms with Milan and has absolutely no intention of extending his current Santos contract.
Juventus and Napoli are also interested, but the Rossoneri are comfortably leading the pack.
It had been suggested by Calciomercato.com that the formal offer was €6m including add-ons, so that does tally with the TyC Sports report of €4m plus bonuses.
The centre-forward scored seven goals and provided three assists in 25 competitive matches during 2021.
That includes the winner in the Copa Sudamericana Round of 16 against Independiente.
