After struggling to get any playing time under Max Allegri, Juventus have sent Kaio Jorge to their Under-23 team in Serie C.

The 19-year-old was the subject of a bidding war over the summer with Milan and Premier League clubs, Juve eventually snatching him from Santos for €1.5m plus up to another €2.5m in various performance-related bonuses.

However, the striker has made just one substitute appearance with the Bianconeri, coming off the bench in the final minute of their 1-0 win over Torino on October 2.

Allegri sent Kaio Jorge to the Juventus Under-23 side, which plays its football in Serie C, Italy’s third division.

He made a mixed debut today against Albinoleffe, as he saw a penalty saved, but then scored a goal after the restart in this 2-2 draw.

The young Brazilian played 88 minutes before being substituted by coach Lamberto Zauli.

His Juventus Under-23 teammate Koni De Winter was sent off in the final stages.

  1. I don’t know why this guy is not playing for the senior team.
Juve need to give him confidence, look at ansu fati at barca and halland at dortmund…allegri should give him playing time plsss

  2. What this article didnt mention was that he also missed the first 4 Weeks do to an injury suffered in Pre Season training.

Then when the season started Juve were winless in a few matches so when he eventually became fit, there was no time to ease him in the squad as they couldn’t afford to drop more Points.

Also, keep in mind, it’s Italian football where they rarely give playing time to young players compared to what they do elsewhere.

  3. Also keep in mind Allegri prefers old players with “experience” to any one who is young, regardless of anything else.

  4. Typical Italian / Allegri mentality and I am an Italian. Does this guy need to look at what Mancini has done or is he blind. Kaio Jorge is inexperienced but so too was Haaland and the idiots let him slip through their fingers. I guess Allegri will have to wait for Kaio to turn 28 before he gets a debut start. It is the Brazilian”s fault as he should have gone to Milan where they are giving youth a chance. Do not get me started with De Ligt. He should be starting every game if fit to build his confidence and continuity week in week out.
