Kaio Jorge was the unexpected star of the show with a hat-trick when Juventus beat their youth team in a traditional pre-season friendly, while Dusan Vlahovic also bagged a brace.

The Bianconeri always go into the campaign with an in-house match against their own youth side, which for this summer was moved to the Allianz Juventus Stadium rather than the training ground.

Vlahovic had his first start of pre-season and immediately scored twice, converting a penalty for the foul on Hans Nicolussi Caviglia and seeing his free kick deflected in off the wall.

Juve fans repeatedly chanted ‘we do not want Lukaku’ in reference to the reported swap deal that would see Vlahovic go to Chelsea.

Moise Kean came on and scored with a fine solo run before providing an assist with a cheeky chip for Kaio Jorge’s acrobatic volley.

This was Kaio Jorge’s first appearance since a disastrous series of injuries that began in February 2022 and he made the most of it by going on to complete a hat-trick.

Arek Milik and Dean Huijsen header completed the rout, as the so-called Juventus Black side ran out 8-0 winners against the Juventus White team.

Facundo Gonzalez also made his debut for the Next Gen side in the second half.

Leonardo Bonucci was left out, as he has been throughout pre-season, but turned up later at the stadium to sign autographs and watch the closing stages of the game.
