Paulo Dybala limped off in tears after scoring a wonderful goal against Sampdoria, as the Juventus captain suffered an injury moments later.
The Argentina international had opened the scoring after 10 minutes at the Allianz Juventus Stadium in Turin with a precise strike into the near bottom corner from the edge of the box.
However, 10 minutes after that, he pulled up suddenly and immediately realised he had sustained a muscular injury.
Dybala’s last few seasons have been dominated by muscular injuries and he was visibly distraught at this latest setback, leaving the field in tears, consoled by his teammates including Federico Chiesa.
He immediately walked off, without waiting for the medical staff to check, suggesting he felt something that he recognised all too well.
It means Dybala is almost certainly out of next week’s Champions League showdown with Chelsea, while the Turin Derby is also coming up.
