Federico Gatti has proven himself at Juventus and the club are ready to reward the defender with a new contract.

The 25-year-old Italian centre back featured often under Massimiliano Allegri in his debut campaign in Turin, seeing over 2150 minutes of action across 27 total appearances. He played the full 90 minutes in their last two league games against Empoli and Lazio.

Gatti, who joined from Frosinone in January 2022 in a deal worth around €5.4m, is one of the lowest paid players in the Juventus squad, earning just €1m net per season.

As reported by Tuttosport via TMW, Juventus want to reward Gatti for his growth and reliability, preparing a new contract with a significant salary bump, extending his deal by a further year to 2028.

The two parties are keen to reach an agreement and pen could be put to paper in the coming weeks, resolving some admin for the Old Lady.
