Luca Pellegrini is expected to undergo his medical with Eintracht Frankfurt tomorrow, but Juventus seemingly don’t intend to replace the full-back.

According to multiple sources, the deal has been reached to send Pellegrini to the Bundesliga on loan.

A Roma youth academy product purchased for €22m in 2019, he had various loan spells at Cagliari and Genoa, without making much of an impact.

He made 21 competitive appearances in the Juventus jersey last season, contributing one assist.

The 23-year-old is effectively swapping places with attacking winger Filip Kostic, who completed his transfer to Juve today for circa €17m including bonuses.

However, Tuttomercatoweb suggest Juventus will not seek a new full-back to replace Pellegrini in the squad.

This leaves only Alex Sandro as a pure left-back, though Juan Cuadrado and Danilo can both be used there if needed.

The Bianconeri could also promote players from their youth academy and Under-23 squad to bolster the numbers.

  1. The Bianconeri HAVE to promote players from their youth academy and Under-23 squad! And not just for bolster the numbers, but to rise young talents into mature Juve players and trophies winners.

  2. The sky is the limit with Sandro, Danilo and De Sciglio. No wonder why this minnow have not tasted champions league success in nearly 3 decades.
