According to Tuttosport newspaper, Juventus will consider firing Massimiliano Allegri if the next Serie A games against Fiorentina and Torino have ‘a negative outcome.’

Allegri is under fire as Juventus only earned seven points in the last nine matches, winning just once. Tonight they will host Lazio at the Allianz Stadium in the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi-finals, but according to Tuttosport, Allegri’s job in Turin will depend on the next two league games.

According to the report, Juventus will seriously consider sacking Allegri if the poor run of results continues against Fiorentina and Torino.

Juventus are in danger of missing out on a Champions League placement as 4th-placed Bologna are just two points below the Bianconeri in the Serie A table, followed by Roma (seven points below) and Atalanta (nine points below Juventus with a game in hand).

Juventus’ main target this season is finishing in the top four, so if the Bianconeri get more disappointing results at the start of April, Allegri’s future will undoubtedly be under threat.

Tuttosport admits sacking Allegri before the end of the season would be a ‘tough decision with many question marks’ but, at the same time, doing nothing would mean ‘accepting the destiny without trying everything possible.’
