Juventus have reached an agreement with Nantes over the former France U18 international, who has played for the reserves in Nantes this term.

His name is well known in France and has reportedly been recognised as one of the biggest talents in French football.

Dabo was actually on the verge of signing with Juventus when Claudio Ranieri was the coach at the Ligue 1 side.

Tuttosport reports Ranieri blocked the transfer for the then 16-year-old midfielder and the youngster signed his first professional contract with Nantes.

Dabo turns 20 in two months and Juventus returned to jump at the chance of signing the youngster, who is destined to continue working to develop with the reserves also in Italy.

The winger was born and grew up in Nantes, where he started playing for the academy and has gone through all the age groups.

Dabo played his first game in Ligue 1 at 17, when he stepped in to play twice in the top tier due to injuries to key players in the first team.

He later returned to the youth teams and reserves but has continued to train with the seniors and was expected to take the step up to the first team ever since. But his progress halted and he has not played in Ligue 1 this term.

Dabo’s contract in Ligue 1 expires in June 2022 and Juventus are prepared to sign him on a permanent deal should he convince at Continassa.
