Juventus defender Andrea Cambiaso was unhappy with being subbed off in the second half against Lazio and reportedly told coach Massimiliano Allegri: ‘You have to stay calm.’
Juventus visit Lazio in the second leg of the Coppa Italia semifinals on Tuesday, but the Bianconeri are two goals down at minute 75. Juventus won the first leg 2-0 in Turin at the beginning of April.
Allegri replaced Cambiaso halfway through the second half, but the Italy international was visibly unhappy with the coach’s decision.
Allegri noticed the defender’s reaction and tried to hug him on the touchline but failed to calm him down.
Sport Mediaset pitchside reporter Gianni Balzarini reported that Cambiaso shook his head and told Allegri: “You have to stay calm, mister.”
Cambiaso continued complaining on the bench and was approached by Hans Nicolussi Caviglia who eventually managed to soothe him.
Juventus finished the last two seasons empty-handed and the Coppa Italia is the last chance they have to lift a piece of silverware this term.
