Juventus are reportedly ready to offer Fiorentina €50m to bring Dusan Vlahovic to Turin already in January.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports the Old Lady are stepping up the chase for the Serbian striker but are still far away from matching the initial demands in Florence.

Vlahovic: ‘I can’t wait to play in the World Cup’

Fiorentina have been asking for €70m to let the 21-year-old leave the club and Juventus already face competition from possible suitors abroad.

Reports in Italy have suggested the Viola are more interested in a move to another league for Vlahovic, but the player seems determined to stay in Serie A.

The newspaper claims Juventus are aware of the player’s interest in a move to the Allianz Stadium and are thus ready to make an offer to make it happen as soon as possible.

The report believes the leaders at Continassa are preparing to offer €50m for an immediate move this winter, €20m less than Fiorentina’s asking price.

Vlahovic, capped 14 times by Serbia, has scored 10 times in 13 Serie A games this term and bagged 21 in 37 league games with the Viola last term.

Manchester City, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with the striker in the Premier League, while Atletico Madrid have shown interest in the youngster too.

  1. Dusan Vlahovic is an excellent striker but 50 million wont be enough and if Juve end up paying 70 million it could be a massive error. Because just like when they paid 90 million for Higuain, and 100 million for Ronaldo. what good is a striker when you have a second rate MIDFIELD?
The midfielders are AWFUL. They dont even compare to legends like Pirlo, Davids, Zidane. Platini, Baggio, Nedved. They dont even compare to the likes of Vidal, Marchisio, Pogba, Conte, Tachinardi or Deschamps. The whole midfield, with the possible exception of Locatelli and McKennie is not even good enough for the Juventus BENCH. It is a joke. They cant pass, they cant dribble, they cant shoot, they cant tackle.
So spending ALL the transfer funds on one striker really wont fix this mess

  2. Chris you are So Right…. The Midfield is Bad… We need a Creative Midfielder…. Our Strikers are starving for service….

  3. Chris , you are very right juv has no midfielders,no pjanic, pielo, who will supply him with assist.i just don’t know directors in juv thinking.or unable to detect where they need to reenforce.

  4. juventus must do everything to get vlahovic, I don’t care losing him to my rival. vlahovic must stay in serie a

  5. Leaving aside that 50mln are 20-30 mln less that Dusan proper price is right now, and Rocco wont sell him to a direct mid-table competitor, how juve is supposed to pay us such an amount of money?
They still owe us 40 mln for Chiesa, and they haven’t paid fully for the Locatelli as well.
Looks like Juve’s management is even worse that Fiorentina‘s one, and thats not an easy feat to pull off.

As usual Gazzetta is trying to pull the attention away from the glaring defeat and comes up with silly transfer rumors

  6. Juve need fixing in every department.

Nothing to worry about because Mister Allegri will solve everything. Just be patient. He was given a 4 year deal for a reason.

    Forza Allegri!

  7. Does Juve not have a bench full of mediocre and overpaid players, who could be worth something to Fiorentina in a swap, if said players are willing to accept getting paid less?
And then maybe bring back some of the players, which they loaned out?

Or is Juve just continuing loaning everything with obligations, which it is doubtful they have the money to cover?

Chiesa, Morota, Locatelli and Kean are all on loan with obligations, right? And you add Vlahovic to that mix, and additional new players they need to sign the coming summer.

And you end up with them suddenly having to find 300 million euros this summer, when their finances have not recovered fully from COVID yet.
I guess each Juventus fan needs to buy 2-3 Fiats this summer, or the whole mess might come tumbling down on their heads. Like it did Inter in the summer of this year.

  8. Ever since Marotta left, Juve have not been the same with transfers. They are becoming the PSG of Italy, but the problem is they are in the red.. they need to find an Identity, bc all of these coaches coming and going have made this team not fun to watch play.

  9. Here we go the fans are getting excited for no reason. Rocco is not selling in January and he will suffer like Ronaldo as there is no service for him. The money is better spent on the midfield but our clueless leadership just don’t get it. It is wiser to spend the money on midfielders that can keep the ball and move it quickly rather than add another striker who will be starved of service. I would go for him but let Dybala go for free. We should have sold him but at least we save on the salary. Sell De Ligt, do not renew with Morata, let Kean go back and totally revamp the squad. None of the above will happen and next year will be the same. Very concerning that Chiesa will leave without no CL football.

  10. MG Allegri will be teaching Vlahovic how to play left back as back up for Alex Sandro. Max knows that Dusan is left footed and will call that master tactics.

  11. Juve continues to take advantage of smaller clubs in italy while getting swindled and overpaying clubs in foreign countries. Hope he goes anywhere but Juve.

  12. Well said Chris.

Also what do Alex Sandro or Danilo bring to the team? Cuadrado is not a right back. Bonucci is accurate 1 in every 10 long passes and cant defend crosses in his own box so constantly falls over. Szczesny is scared to come off his line and has no presence.
And how many more opportunities does Morata need? Bench him.

Bring in any no nonsense tackling holding midfielder along with Rovella or Fagioli at Xmas. Give de Winter a lot more playing time, even at right back if need be. He didnt look out of place last night. And start Pellegrini every match instead of Alex Sandro.

And cut the negotiating crap and give Fiorentina 70 mio NOW for Vlahovic.

Lets at least make a fight of it. Allegri needs to be more adventurous.

  13. Juve had an offer for 35 mill for Bentancur and rejected it – they should have sold him ! Add $35 mill from a sale for Kulusevski and there is the money we need for Vlahovic ! what this team needs to do in the mid is toss Bentancur – Ramsey – Rabiot and launch Rovella & Fagioli – if we lose with the youth on the field so be it – but they will grow quickly because they are good players.

  14. We must buy this boy I love him ….he know how to score trust me but 50m I don’t think so let wait and see morata must go back …..he can play in CL next stage
