Juventus wage bill for 2023-24 season – all the details

Juventus have managed to cut their wage bill by around €44m gross compared to last year, but still pay the most out of all clubs in Serie A.

Calcio e Finanza analysed the Bianconeri’s wages for the 2023-24 season, confirming that the overall costs sit at around €75.1m net or €121.3m gross. Overall, the payroll has dropped by €21m net or €44m gross when compared to last year, showing the results of the club’s efforts this summer.

When looking at the source of the reduction, three departed players stand out – Leandro Paredes with his €6.5m net wages, Angel Di Maria and his €6m net salary, and Juan Cuadrado, who earnt €5m net per season.

When calculating the gross costs, the Growth Decree – a tax relief law for foreign players – has been taken into account, and for new arrivals this doesn’t activate until January 2024 due to the July 2 deadline.

Juventus’ 2022-23 season was derailed by off-pitch legal issues, meaning they will not take part in European competition this campaign, something that has a clear effect on their overall balance sheets.

Their highest paid player currently is Paul Pogba, who earns €8m net per season, and behind him is Adrien Rabiot with a salary of €7m net. In third place is Wojciech Szczesny, earing €6.5m net per campaign.
