Lorenzo Bettoni in Turin brings you the three things you may have missed during last night’s Serie A clash between Juventus and Inter at the Allianz Stadium.

The Bianconeri sealed a 2-0 win against their arch-rivals, climbing two points behind fourth-placed Atalanta and leapfrogging the Nerazzurri in the Serie A table.

Football Italia was among the accredited media at the Allianz Stadium on Sunday and brings you the five things you may have missed by watching the game on TV.

Tension in the stands

There was tension in the main stands, close to the press box after Danilo saw his goal disallowed by VAR. It was a dispute between a Juventus and an Inter fan who had a home ticket for the match. For a moment, most people in the stands looked more interested in what was happening around them than on the pitch, but it didn’t last long as stewards quickly restored order.

Allegri asking for clarification

Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri looked not impressed when VAR disallowed Danilo’s goal, preventing the Bianconeri from going 2-0 up. Most Bianconeri players on the bench, especially Leonardo Bonucci and Carlo Pinsoglio, were literally furious with the referee’s assistant, while Allegri looked calmer and was seen speaking with the fourth official, repeatedly putting his hand on his shoulder. The Italian tactician looked irritable but didn’t overreact and remained quiet. During his post-match press conference, he praised his players on the pitch for doing the same. “I haven’t seen the incident, but we could have lost the plot at that moment. Instead, we remained focused, which is another nice signal,” Allegri said.

Danilo’s special gift

Juventus defender Danilo was one of the best players at the Allianz Stadium last night, cementing his place as one of the idols of the Old Lady’s fans. The Brazilian, who wore the captain’s armband against the Nerazzurri, was not only impressive on the pitch but also took a moment for a supporter in the main stands after the final whistle. At the end of the game, Danilo identified a fan who wanted his jersey and ran toward his sector to give it to him. He didn’t return to the tunnel until he ensured a steward had given his No.6 shirt to the correct person.
