Social media reacted to a tense match at the Allianz Stadium between Juventus and Inter, which saw the Nerazzurri claim a key victory in the race for the Serie A title.
A Hakan Calhanoglu goal from the spot gave Inter their second-ever victory at the Allianz Stadium after the one of 2012 with Andrea Stramaccioni in charge. Massimiliano Irrati awarded the decisive penalty kick to the Nerazzurri after a VAR check in the first half.

Calhanoglu saw Wojciech Szczesny save his spot-kick, which had to be retaken as Matthijs de Ligt had entered the box before Calhanoglu touched the ball. After Szczesny’s save, the Dutch defender was the first player to pounce on the rebound.
Massimiliano Allegri was furious on the touchline and the same goes for many Juventus and Milan fans at home. The Rossoneri will face Bologna at San Siro tomorrow and hoped Inter wouldn’t win in Turin tonight.
There was more controversy in the second half when Juventus fans protested for a foul of Alessandro Bastoni on Denis Zakaria. Irrati and VAR gave a free kick, but images circulating on social media seem to suggest the Italian defender touched the Bianconeri midfielder inside the box.
Milan Skriniar was probably one of the best players on the pitch as he managed to nullify their star striker Dusan Vlahovic.

Why aren’t more people talking about that no-penalty call on Zakaria? I mean, how does VAR look at that and decide it’s outside the box?

Enjoyed watching Juventus play with full speed and confidence. Inter was buried for 95 min. 💪 how come it took 30 games to come up with that idea??
Just give the title to Inter. Just look at how hard the refs are working to keep them in the running. Best inter inter players last couple of games have been the referees.
You guys need to stop whining and get the eff over it. You’ve been getting dodgy calls for decades. Not that the Zak call was dodgy. Your players were throwing themselves to the floor all game.
I’ll admit Torino were hard done by with their no-call. You however were not.
As a Juve fan, it was unfair but no problems.
It is basically payback for the incident between Ronaldo and Mark Iuliano in 1998. Inter fans were upset about that for 20 years! Juve fans will move on from this after 2 days.
