This fixture is now a mid-table battle due to a points deduction but these Juventus vs. Fiorentina predictions suggest that the home side will be the ones celebrating at the end.

Juventus vs. Fiorentina odds

1 – Juventus to win – 17/20

2 – Under 2.5 goals scored – 4/5

3 – Both teams not to score – 10/11

4 – Ángel Di Mariá to score at any time – 3/1

5 – Juventus to win 2-0 – 15/2

The points deduction incurred by Juventus can be appealed, so we have definitely not heard the last of it. But Massimiliano Allegri will be hoping that his players can concentrate on getting a winning streak going again after taking three points from Salernitana on Tuesday.

Juventus were just too good for their hosts at the Stadio Arechi and Dušan Vlahović ended a four-month goal drought to open the scoring in the 3-0 victory. Another win on Sunday would see the Old Lady just outside the European places again, so every game is crucial at the moment.

Allegri has more injury problems to deal with though, after teenager Fabio Miretti was taken off against Salernitana. But there should be more than enough talent in the squad to overcome this Fiorentina side that has not won in the league for over a month.

The Viola fans have not been happy with the way the new year has gone for their side. Fiorentina may have reached the semi-final of the Coppa Italia and the play-offs of the Europa Conference League, but Serie A results have been poor.

The 2-1 home defeat at the hands of Bologna last Sunday was the third in the last four games. That winless streak has seen the club fall into the bottom half of the table and a surprise win in Turin seems unlikely.

Fiorentina have also not been scoring many goals and that will make the fans even angrier to see former favourite Vlahović lining up for the opposition. A Juventus win to nil does seem like the most likely outcome this weekend – even if the Serbian striker does not find the net himself.

Juventus vs. Fiorentina line-ups

Juventus (3-5-2): Szczęsny; Danilo, Bremer, Alex Sandro; Cuadrado, Rabiot, Fagioli, Locatelli, Kostić; Di Mariá, Vlahović

Fiorentina (4-3-3): Terracciano; Dodô, Milenković, Martinez Quarta, Biraghi; Barák, Amrabat, Bonaventura; González, Jović, Saponara

Juventus team news

Fabio Miretti’s injury may not have been as bad as initially feared but he is another injury headache for Allegri now. Nicolò Fagioli should come in as a replacement and Juve could also bring Juan Cuadrado back into the side on the right. Federico Chiesa may have to make do with a place on the bench again though.

Fiorentina team news

Vincenzo Italiano is forced to shuffle things around at the back thanks to Igor’s one-match suspension. Lucas Martinez Quarta should slot in there. Luka Jović seems to have won his coach over now, even if he isn’t scoring the number of goals that he would have liked.
