Two form sides meet at the Allianz Stadium on Saturday. But these Juventus vs. Cagliari predictions show that it will be the home side that continues their streak of good form.
1 – Juventus to win – 1/3
2 – Under 2.5 goals scored – 21/20
3 – Both teams not to score – 4/6
4 – Dušan Vlahović to score anytime – 13/10
5 – Juventus to win 2-0 – 5/1
While most of their rivals switch their focus to European ties this week, Juventus will be able to enjoy a few more days rest and get ready for the visit of Cagliari on Saturday. The home side has lost only once this season and have won the last four in Serie A.
Maxi Allegri would obviously rather his players were competing in the Champions League this season but will be grateful that he doesn’t have to worry about the injury problems that come with a European campaign.
Instead, he will be fully expecting another three points at home this weekend, a result that would put Juventus at the top of the table – if only for 24 hours until Inter play Frosinone on Sunday. Dušan Vlahović may be given a chance up front here, and could be the one to score an important goal on the way to victory.
Claudio Ranieri’s job may be a little safer now after his Cagliari side picked up seven points out of a possible nine and progressed in the Coppa Italia. But he may be lucky to experience any last-minute heroics in Turin.
The Rossoblu sensationally came back from three goals down to beat Frosinone the other weekend – and followed up that display with a victory over Genoa last time out. They might not be taking anything home to Sardinia this weekend.
But no defeats in three have seen Cagliari climb out of the bottom three for the first time this season. Ranieri will be hoping that a good performance against Juventus – whatever the result – will inspire his players to pick up some more points against poorer sides in the weeks ahead.

Juventus (3-5-2): Szczęsny; Gatti, Rugani, Bremer; McKennie, Rabiot, Miretti, Locatelli, Kostić; Chiesa, Vlahović
Cagliari (4-3-1-2): Scuffet; Goldaniga, Doessena, Chatzidakos, Augello; Jankto, Prati, Makoumbou; Mancosu; Petagna, Luvumbo
Maxi Allegri has no new injury worries but may look to shake things up a bit in the hope of a convincing victory. That could mean that Dušan Vlahović starts up front alongside Federico Chiesa.
Claudio Ranieri will probably not want to change too much, seeing that his players have finally been able to win a few games. But Andrea Petagna may start here up front in the hope of making the most of any counterattack.
