Juventus will face Atletico Madrid in a pre-season friendly with Alvaro Morata’s future still in the air, according to reports in Spain.

Morata is loan at the Allianz Stadium from the Spanish capital side and, although the Bianconeri have the option to sign the ex-Chelsea forward for €35 million, recent reports suggest they are unwilling to pay that fee.

And AS reports the two sides will meet during the summer in the Israeli city of Tel Aviv.

It remains unclear as to where Morata will be when the two sides meet.

Juve, according to reports, recently had a €20m bid rejected for Morata by Atletico which would suggest they remain keen to make the signing permanent, just at a lower fee.

Morata appears to be surplus to requirements at Atletico, with manager Diego Simeone happy for him to be loaned out to Juve over these past two seasons.

Juve forward Dusan Vlahovic raised suspicions he could land Morata’s No. 9 shirt by removing the No. 7 from his Instagram profile.
