Liverpool offered left-back Kostas Tsimikas to Juventus as part of the deal bringing Arthur Melo to Anfield, but the Bianconeri were not interested.

According to Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà, the dry loan proposal was made by the Liverpool directors on transfer deadline day.

Arthur is heading towards Anfield on a dry loan with Liverpool reportedly covering his full salary.

Tsimikas is a 26-year-old Greece international who was signed from Olympiacos for €13m in the summer of 2020.

He has made four Premier League appearances this season, providing two assists, despite only being on the pitch for 72 minutes.

Juventus have been offered several left-backs during the summer, but Max Allegri has decided he does not need further coverage in that area of the team.

He has Mattia De Sciglio and Alex Sandro for that role, with Danilo and Juan Cuadrado available on the right flank.

Juve have an Under-23 squad that plays in Serie C, but players can be brought in from there at any moment for Serie A or Champions League football.

  1. Of course they were not interested. PhD Max prefers his current Roberto Carlos as well as Cafu on the right. After all it is the secret to being the only 7/9 club in the world.
