Sky Sport Italia claim that Juventus are prepared to poach Giovanni Simeone, just hours after the Hellas Verona player agreed a move to Napoli.

The striker has not participated in pre-season friendlies because he was promised the opportunity to leave if the right offer came along.

Multiple sources today reported that Simeone had agreed a transfer to Napoli, on loan for €3m with an option to buy for a further €12m.

However, now Sky Sport Italia claim that Juventus are getting ready to intercept the negotiations with their own offer.

The two clubs have repeatedly clashed on the transfer market for the same targets and are already battling for Sassuolo striker Giacomo Raspadori.

Argentina international Simeone scored 17 goals and provided six assists in 35 Serie A games last season for Hellas Verona.

Monza and Borussia Dortmund had also shown an interest in Simeone, who wants to step up from Verona to play in the Champions League.

  1. Doubt he will come to us – he knows he will be on the bench – unless allegri plays 352 – if allegri does – then were screwed – he’s just uefa cup level player – even depay is levels ahead of him

  2. Can’t wait to watch juve this season. They be like inter few years back with no Italians playing.
    Great job juve.

  3. Tony

Locatelli, Chiesa, Bonucci, Pellegrini, are all in starting 11 as of today. Furthermore, if Juve won’t find a buyer for Kean, they might have to play him in the start as well (since they can’t sign a replacement without getting rid of Kean).

  4. @Tony Juve Italian first team players: Perin, Gatti, Rugani, De Sciglio, Pellegrini Fagioli, Locatelli, Miretti & Kean…

  5. Juve already made a move for Delay, no need to sing Simeone, that’s not what we need now. The creative hole in the midfield is still there to fill, especially after Pogba’s injury.

  6. You can call him mediocre or whatever you want.. Facts is that he scored 17 goals for a midtable team last season. 17!

    that’s pretty impressive.

  7. Simeone proves himself season after season in Serie A. Its about time he was picked up by a big club. Would rather see him in Naples tbh. Juve and Allegri will ruin him. Spalleti will be the perfect coach for baby Simeone. Always thought he would end up at Lazio or Inter like his father.
