Juventus transfers: Brighton’s offer for top defensive target, West Ham no longer lead Zakaria race

According to Tuttosport, Monaco are now leading the race for Juventus midfielder Denis Zakaria, while Roberto De Zerbi’s Brighton have made an offer for Spezia defender Emil Holm.

Holm has emerged as the Bianconeri’s main target for the right wing as Massimiliano Allegri will likely continue with a 3-5-2 formation in 2023-24.

However, Juventus can’t make new signings until they sell some of their players and according to Tuttosport, De Zerbi’s Brighton are trying to beat the Old Lady with an offer worth €9.5m.

Spezia’s asking price is €15m, but the Premier League side are now a serious contender for the 23-year-old who could follow ex-Fiorentina defender Igor at Brighton.

Swiss midfielder Zakaria is one of the players Juventus want to sell this summer and West Ham have been in talks with the Old Lady for several weeks.

However, Tuttosport claims the Hammers are no longer leading the race for the ex-Gladbach midfielder as Monaco are now in the front row to secure his signature.

Talks between the Ligue 1 side and Juventus are ongoing, but the Bianconeri have set their asking price at €20m. According to the report, West Ham don’t want to be involved in a bidding war for Zakaria.
