Declan Rice’s move to Arsenal means West Ham have the financial resources to afford Denis Zakaria from Juventus, while the Bianconeri have opened preliminary talks with Barcelona for Franck Kessié and Arthur is close to joining Fiorentina.

Rice has joined Arsenal for €112m and according to Tuttosport, this means West Ham will soon make an improved offer to sign Zakaria from Juventus. The Hammers boss David Moyes said earlier this week that West Ham would not make new signings in midfield before Rice’s sale.

West Ham reportedly value Zakaria at €13m, while Juventus are looking for a sale in the region of €20-25m, but could eventually sell the Swiss midfielder for less than €20m.

Arthur is also expected to leave Turin this summer with Fiorentina in advanced talks with the Brazilian’s agent Federico Pastorello and the Old Lady.

According to Sunday’s printed edition of Il Corriere dello Sport (page 20) Vincenzo Italiano has already spoken to the ex-Barcelona midfielder who is keen on moving to Florence on loan with part of his salary paid by the Bianconeri.

Juventus have also targeted Kessié as a possible midfielder reinforcement for next season.

Gianluca Di Marzio claims the Bianconeri have already contacted Barcelona to explore the feasibility of a loan deal with an option to buy.

As of today, Kessié doesn’t seem convinced about leaving Camp Nou and returning to Serie A, but if he decides to listen to Juventus’ offer then the two clubs could reach an agreement.
