Juventus continue to monitor Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus while Matthijs de Ligt is reportedly open to signing a contract extension, but only if he gets a lower release clause.

The Bianconeri are looking to reinforce Max Allegri’s squad for 2022-23 after finishing their first trophyless campaign in 11 years.

Angel Di Maria and Ivan Perisic are among their primary targets and are both available as free agents, but according to Il Corriere dello Sport, Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus is also in the Old Lady’s sights.

The Brazilian striker is in talks with Arsenal, but his agent revealed earlier this month that six European clubs are interested in signing his client.

Paul Pogba is Juventus’ main target to strengthen their midfield and the Bianconeri will soon meet his representative Rafaela Pimenta who is also the agent of Luca Pellegrini, Moise Kean and Matthijs de Ligt, who are already in Turin.

De Ligt’s contract runs out in 2024, but he is open to extending his stay at the club by one more season. However, according to Corsport, he will only put pen to paper on a new agreement if Juventus lower the €125m release clause included in his contract from this summer.

  1. They are different types of attackers so I think they can work well together. It depends of our “master Allegri” tactic.
