According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic was offered to Juventus, but the Bianconeri’s priority remains Memphis Depay.
The Serie A giants are on the lookout for a new striker to replace Alvaro Morata and according to multiple sources in Italy, they have already reached an agreement in principle with the outgoing Barcelona striker.
As Il Corriere dello Sport newspaper reports, the deal now depends on Barcelona who are negotiating Depay’s contract rescission.
The two parties are close to reaching an economic agreement, but there is a gap of €2m between Barcelona’s offer and Depay’s demands.
The Catalans need to free up wages to sign new players, so they are willing to terminate Depay’s contract.
The ex-Lyon and Manchester United striker is Juventus’ priority in attack and the Bianconeri are currently not considering alternative solutions, such as Pulisic, who has reportedly been offered to the Serie A giants.
The USMNT international had been linked with a move to the Allianz Stadium in June, when the Blues enquired about Matthijs de Ligt, who eventually joined Bayern Munich.
