This is a decisive week for Juventus as the Bianconeri are set for showdown talks with Sassuolo for Manuel Locatelli and will meet Paulo Dybala’s agent.

Locatelli remains the Bianconeri’s priority this summer, but the Old Lady is now running out of time.

The club’s director Federico Cherubini has already met Sassuolo three times this summer and a new summit is expected to take place this week, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Juventus have offered €5m for the player’s two-year loan, an obligation to buy for €20m and bonuses up to €7m plus a 25% sell-on clause, but Sassuolo want €35-40m.

The club’s CEO Giovanni Carnevali has also set August 8 as the deadline date for the transfer, so, on paper, the Neroverdi won’t listen to offers after the weekend.

Locatelli has already snubbed a move to Arsenal as he only wants to join Juventus.

The Bianconeri are also set to meet Paulo Dybala’s agent Jorge Antun in Turin. His quarantine period is over, so Antun can finally meet the Bianconeri to discuss a contract extension for the Argentinean striker, given that his current deal expires in June 2022.

According to the report, Juventus hope Dybala can sign a new €10m-a-year contract including bonuses, although La Joya had rejected a similar proposal one year ago.

Juventus and Antun could meet over the weekend even if Dybala is likely to miss the Bianconeri’s trip to Barcelona for the Gamper Trophy due to an injury.
