Juventus are pushing to close out a deal for Jean-Clair Todibo and are unlikely to lose the OGC Nice defender to another interested club.

The Bianconeri have identified the 24-year-old French centre back as the right option to bolster Thiago Motta’s defence this summer and have been in close contact with their Ligue 1 counterparts, trying to secure the player’s signature.

West Ham were seriously interested in Todibo and even submitted an offer to Nice, but the defender made it clear that he wanted to join Juventus, who needed to sell to generate enough resources to complete a deal. They’re looking to set up a loan with a €35m conditional obligation to buy clause.

Todibo unlikely to be poached

Transfer market pundit Matteo Moretto provided an update on Juventus’ work for Todibo via Caught Offside.

The Old Lady are keen to quickly close out a deal for the 24-year-old and are pushing to reach a total agreement with all parties, which is nearing. West Ham were interested, but the defender has given his total priority to the Bianconeri and is now waiting for a deal to be reached.
