Nicolo Rovella is close to leaving Juventus to join Salernitana on a dry loan spell in a bid for more consistent minutes.

The talented 20-year-old midfielder returned to the Bianconeri environment earlier this month following a positive 18-month spell on loan with Genoa, the club that Juventus signed him from for €23.3m back in January 2021, but he seems unlikely to earn regular playing time under Massimiliano Allegri.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are working to send Rovella to Salernitana on a season-long dry loan, looking to give him more consistent minutes as he continues his development.

Salernitana coach Davide Nicola is a big fan of the 20-year-old and will likely make him a regular starter in the South of Italy.

Last season, Rovella made 21 appearances across all competitions, for a total of 1493 minutes. In that time, he provided four assists and impressed as both a defensive and more progressive midfielder.
