Juventus are expected to give Federico Gatti a new contract with improved salary after turning down Premier League offers, including from Everton.

The centre-back was signed from Frosinone in 2022 for circa €5.4m plus bonuses and his current deal runs to June 2027.

Nonetheless, he is one of the lowest-paid players in the entire squad and the club can therefore begin to reward him with a new wage deal.

According to Tuttosport, his agent will meet with Bianconeri chiefs later this month to discuss the terms and work out an extension to June 2028.

This is also a bid to lock him down, seeing as the 25-year-old received interest from several Premier League clubs, most recently Everton.

Gatti made his season debut in the 2-0 win away to Empoli and promptly then sprained his ankle, so will be out of action until after the break for international duty.

He has two senior caps for Italy and made 28 competitive appearances for Juventus, scoring two goals.
