Juventus are reportedly prepared to offer Danilo a contract extension to June 2026, adding a further two years to his current deal.

It’s a huge show of faith in the 30-year-old Brazilian, who confessed in recent weeks he “rediscovered the joy of football” in Turin after his experience at Manchester City.

The right-back has also been playing in central defence, on the left or even a more advanced midfield role under Max Allegri this season.

Danilo joined Juve from Manchester City in the summer of 2019 for €37m and has become a firm fan favourite for his leadership skills and work-rate, as well as his crucial last-gasp goal against Atalanta.

His contract currently runs to June 2024, but Sport Mediaset claim that Juventus are offering him an extension to 2026.

He made 22 competitive appearances in the Bianconeri jersey so far this term, with one goal and two assists.

Danilo’s previous clubs were America MG, Santos, FC Porto, Real Madrid and Manchester City.
