Kalidou Koulibaly was Juventus’ No.1 target to replace Giorgio Chiellini, but with the Napoli star off to Chelsea, the Old Lady must look elsewhere for defensive reinforcements.

Koulibaly is expected to complete a €40m switch to Stamford Bridge today. He has already agreed personal terms with the Premier League giants who will finalise an agreement with Napoli today.

The 30-year-old was Max Allegri’s first option to replace Giorgio Chiellini who has joined LAFC, but Koulibaly’s imminent move to Chelsea means Juventus must change their plans.

Sources told Football Italia that Arsenal’s Gabriel is the Old Lady’s priority target now, but the Gunners won’t sell for less than €30m.

Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic is available for €15m and Villarreal’s Pau Torres is also on the Bianconeri’s agenda. The same goes for Torino centre-back Gleison Bremer and Presnel Kimpembe of PSG.

However, the Granata’s president Urbano Cairo warned suitors on Tuesday that the Brazilian centre-back could be worth as much as Milan Skriniar, so circa €70m.

Monaco’s Benoît Badiashile and Borussia Dortmund’s Manuel Akanji have been linked with a move to Juventus, but the Bianconeri are looking for more experienced players, considering that Matthijs de Ligt may also leave the club, having already agreed personal terms with Bayern Munich.

Juventus have rejected the Bavarians’ opening bid for the Dutch defender, €60m plus add-ons, and have demanded at least €90m to sell their star.

  1. Why is this article needed – already told us that KK rejected juve and is close to chelsea – why write another report

  2. Juventus have to resign themselves to not being the Juventus of old. Chelsea lost Rudiger and Christensen, but are big enough to replace with quality. The same goes for bigger teams around Europe. Arteta will not let him leave that easily and Arsenal is not exactly the world’s oyster for ready made quality. Like Juventus, they are a finishing school for players to hone their craft, before moving onto bigger things. I now await the woke EU mob.

  3. LOL. Cairo seeing the price for Skrinniar and understanding Bremer is Inter’s top target to replace. “Well, you guys just got 70m, so you need to give me that for Bremer”. He won’t get it, but it will raise Bremer’s value somewhat and 40-50m for Bremer is still damn good.

  4. @ros think your just daft, and need to learn how to read, im saying why is the article adding juventus – thrs no need – just click bait – for jokers like yourself

  5. Not impressed if we go to Arsenal looking for a player. Tek and Ramsey came from there and are not exactly premium quality. Maybe I am a bit harsh with Tek, but he leaves you wondering when a big mistake will happen.

  6. Bremer has made a promise to Inter and Torres is way too expensive. @Cris, nothing wrong with dreaming but reality will kick in.

  7. With KK gone, Napoli is left with just Victor Osimhen as the game-winning player. I mean the player who can singlehandedly win games for his team. Napoli shouldn’t have let go, it’s just a pity that they couldn’t keep him.

    The club needs reinforcement inarguably.

  8. Thought Gatti did well against England, Young Centre Back, Hopefully he gets the chances, doesn’t seem a bad option at all, Obviously Serie B is not Serie A but he is a defender I think is worth Taking Seriously, we shall see

  9. @mohammed
in this case, you took that bait and got very disappointed that there was nothing new about KK. Chill out spamming everybody with your presence. KK is not joining Juve, get over it (if you are a Juve fan. Which I doubt since all you do is talk bad about the club).
