Juventus are looking at Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Leandro Paredes as a potential replacement for Arthur Melo during his injury lay-off.

The Brazilian will be out of action for at least three months following surgery to remove a calcified scar from an injury that he sustained in February.

According to La Repubblica, the Bianconeri have set their sights on Paredes to fill in the gaps.

They are proposing a loan deal with option to buy at the end of the season.

It’d be a return to Serie A for the 27-year-old Argentina international, who played for Chievo, Empoli and Roma before his €23m transfer to Zenit St Petersburg in 2017.

He then joined PSG for €40m in January 2019 and his contract with the Ligue 1 giants runs to June 2023.

The report in the Italian newspaper suggests that the interest in Paredes remains regardless of whether or not Juventus manage to secure Manuel Locatelli from Sassuolo.

They are battling Arsenal for the Italy international’s signature, with an asking price of €40m plus bonuses.
