Juventus transfer target Alexis Mac Allister insists he is in no rush to leave Brighton and Hove Albion, while coach Roberto De Zerbi also advises him to stay after winning the World Cup.

The Argentina international midfielder shot to fame with his performances at the tournament in Qatar and is widely expected to make a big money transfer in 2023.

However, that may well only be in the summer rather than in the January window, at least that is what coach De Zerbi hopes.

“I am happy if he wants to stay with us until the end of the season and I think it is better for him.

“For us, for sure, but also for him because in this moment changing team in January can be a problem for him.”

Meanwhile, Mac Allister spoke to Sky Sports UK and assured he too is “focused on Brighton, they know how grateful I am to this club and I don’t have any rush to leave.”

Along with Juventus, the 24-year-old has also been linked with the likes of Atletico Madrid, Arsenal and Chelsea.

  1. Better to stay there for the time being and wait for a bigger club in the same league to come in with an offer. PhD Max will inevitably ruin his talents.

  2. Aw say I can see, the Afghan veteran with PTSD

    Aw the rockets red glare,
‘Fawlty towers’ crashing thru the air,
    Gave proof thru the cries,
That both were no longer there:

O say, does those coffin stacked bomberssss yet wave,
back to the land of Pam Am,
    And the 168 in Oklahoma!!!
