Juventus are looking to inject some vitality into their squad and are interested in picking up both Chelsea’s Cesare Casadei and Lille’s Timothy Weah, La Gazzetta dello Sport claims.

The Bianconeri, still waiting to welcome sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli, have decided to kickstart their summer transfer market business with Giovanni Manna at the helm, sending the director to London to talk shop with the Blues.

Casadei shined at the Under-20 World Cup, scoring seven goals and providing two assists in Italy’s run to the final. The 20-year-old has still not made a first team appearance for Chelsea but is clearly a top talent, justifying his €15m price tag a year ago.

Pages eight and nine of today’s La Gazzetta dello Sport details how Juventus director Manna discussed Casadei when meeting with Chelsea recently, keen to bring the 20-year-old to Turin. The Premier League side would like to include the Italian in the negotiations for Dusan Vlahovic.

Regardless of the Serbian striker, the Bianconeri will try to make a move for Casadei, hoping to pick up the talented midfielder on a loan deal with a buy option attached.

Manna has also made a move for Weah, who only has a year left on his contract with Lille. The 23-year-old, who helped the French side win the league in the 2020-21 season, does not seem likely to pen a new deal with the club.
