Nicolo Rovella is reportedly only a step away from completing a dry loan move from Juventus to Monza.

The Bianconeri signed the talented defensive midfielder in January 2021 from Genoa in a deal worth €23m. They promptly left him in Liguria for another 18 months on loan, wanting Rovella to continue his development with some consistent minutes. The 20-year-old returned to Turin last month and joined Massimiliano Allegri’s squad for the pre-season tour in the US.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Monza have been interested in picking up Rovella on loan for weeks now and are finally close to securing the 20-year-old’s signature. Talks between the newly promoted side and Juventus are at an advanced stage and things are close to being completed now.

The two parties will meet again after Juventus’ season opener against Sassuolo tonight, and things are expected to be finalised at some point later this week.

  1. Good move. We already have Miretti and Fagioli as youngsters. 3 would be way too much. Certainly with Pogba Locatelli Zakaria McKennie and Arthur still there too.

  2. lol Miretti and Fagioli will get no game time. phd Max wants to bring in Paredes and that will hamper their chances even more. 4th spot is the real target and should be obtainable with Napoli and Atlanta in transition.
