According to Tuttosport, Juventus will assess Angel Di Maria’s fitness today as El Fideo is dealing with a calf issue.
The Argentinean star made his second appearance with the Old Lady against Fiorentina yesterday but was replaced after just 45 minutes after picking up a knock in his calf.
“Di Maria came off as a precaution after only two training sessions, we’ll see how he is. With a bit of patience, we’ll get there,” Juventus boss Max Allegri told DAZN after the game.
Di Maria had missed the previous three Serie A games with an adductor injury and the Bianconeri’s medical staff will assess his fitness today, according to Tuttosport.
The Turin-based paper reports that the situation is ‘not alarming’ but must be examined cautiously.
Allegri hopes El Fideo will be fit to travel to Paris, where Juventus face PSG in the opening Champions League group stage game on Tuesday.
Di Maria scored one goal and delivered an assist in his first appearance with the Old Lady against Sassuolo on August 15. He signed a one-year deal with the Serie A giants after his contract with PSG expired.
