Juventus face Lazio on Sunday evening and that brings back talk of a potential January offer for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, who is also a target of Premier League sides with his contract up for renewal.

The midfielder has long been linked with the Bianconeri and the two clubs coming face-to-face in Serie A is inevitably an opportunity to discuss the situation.

It is also boosted by reports that Mateja Kezman, who is the agent of both Sergej and his brother Vanja – the Torino goalkeeper – will be in Italy this weekend.

The Serbia international is heading to the 2022 World Cup and his price-tag could well climb depending on his performance in that tournament.

His contract is due to expire in June 2024 and Lazio have reportedly offered €5m per season to extend, as he currently earns €3.2m per season at the Stadio Olimpico.

According to Calciomercato.com, Juventus could try to make a proposal in January worth €6-7m per season to anticipate the Premier League sides, similar to the way they beat Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur to Dusan Vlahovic from Fiorentina.

The Bianconeri would need to sell in order to make way for Milinkovic-Savic, sacrificing for example Weston McKennie to Tottenham or letting Adrien Rabiot leave as a free agent in the summer.

  1. A wise man would look at what the 0.01 Mbps bush league supreme tactician has done to his compatriot. No touches and not even broken double digits this term. Better for him to hold out for a PL team to take his game to the next level. At his age, he should have left 2 years ago. He does not have time for PhD Max to teach him the side back as well as the safety ball.
