Juventus are in advanced talks to sell midfielder Denis Zakaria to West Ham United, returning to the Premier League after the Chelsea loan spell.

The 26-year-old Switzerland international was purchased from Borussia Monchengladbach in January 2022 for €10m, but failed to make an impact in Turin.

He was sent to Chelsea on loan at a cost of €3m with an option to buy, which the Blues decided not to activate.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Bianconeri are now in advanced negotiations with West Ham United for a permanent transfer that would return Zakaria to London, already having two calls to discuss the details.

He made just 11 appearances in the Chelsea jersey, scoring one goal.

There wasn’t much more experience for Juventus, playing in 15 matches with one goal and one assist.

La Gazzetta dello Sport had reported last week that the Hammers were not prepared to meet the €20m asking price, so they are trying to negotiate it down with bonuses and a percentage of the sell-on fee.
