Juventus‘ Federico Chiesa and Leonardo Bonucci will miss Saturday’s friendly against Arsenal due to injuries.

The Bianconeri are training at Continassa and will fly to London later this week, meeting Arsenal in a friendly encounter at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday 17.

Bonucci and Chiesa won’t be available due to injuries.

Juventus have confirmed the Italian centre-back was diagnosed with a tendon injury after this morning’s medical checks at Continassa.

“The medical check-up which Leonardo Bonucci underwent this morning, following a problem reported at the end of yesterday’s training, highlighted an inflammation of the adductor longus tendon. His condition will be re-evaluated in 10 days,” the Bianconeri said in an official statement on Wednesday.

Bonucci has missed two games because of muscle problems this term.

According to Goal.com’s Juventus correspondent Romeo Agresti, Chiesa also won’t travel with his teammates in the UK because of fatigue in the adductor of his right thigh.

The former Fiorentina winger has made three competitive appearances this term, returning to action after knee surgery in January.

Juventus resume their Serie A campaign on January 4, 2023, in an away clash at Cremonese.
