Reports in Italy claim Juventus and Italy star Federico Chiesa will precautionarily see knee specialist Christian Fink today after suffering an injury against Inter before the international break.

Chiesa’s latest appearance at San Siro lasted barely 15 minutes, with the Italy international subbed on and off in the second half against the Nerazzurri.

According to Sky Sport Italia and Sport Mediaset, he will see doctor Fink in Austria today. He is the same surgeon who performed knee surgery on the former Fiorentina star in January 2022 after an ACL tear in a 4-3 win over Roma at the Stadio Olimpico.

Chiesa reportedly requested a precautionary visit and is not believed to have suffered another serious injury.

“He has this tendinitis that he is carrying with him for a while. He is a bit scared, but it’s nothing major,” Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri said at a post-match press conference after Juventus’ win over Inter on March 19.

Chiesa was removed from Italy’s squad for games against England and Malta and continued recovery in Turin.

The 25-year-old has made 17 appearances at a club level this term, scoring two goals and delivering four assists.
