Federico Chiesa is planning to visit the doctor who operated on his knee as he looks to quell the injury fears plaguing him following his recent issues.
The 25-year-old Italian winger suffered a cruciate ligament rupture in January 2022 and missed the majority of the calendar year, only making a few cameo appearances before the World Cup in Qatar.
In 2023, Chiesa has started to take to the pitch more regularly again but left Juventus concerned after he was forced off the pitch just 17 minutes after coming on in the recent 1-0 win over Inter in the Derby d’Italia.
La Gazzetta dello Sport details how Chiesa will fly to Austria on Monday to meet with professor Christian Fink, the man who operated on his knee back in January 2022.
The idea behind the trip is to help the Italian winger overcome his fears related to the recent discomforts he’s felt in recent matches.
Tests at J-Medical have ruled out any injuries for Chiesa, but he’s still afraid of suffering a relapse or new injury regardless, prompting him to book the trip to Austria.
