Juventus have confirmed that star forward Federico Chiesa took part in some parts of today’s squad training session at Continassa.
The 24-year-old Italian winger suffered a cruciate ligament rupture during the Bianconeri’s 4-3 win over Roma back in January, sending him to the sidelines for the rest of the season. Chiesa has been working hard on his recovery ever since, being forced to watch Italy’s World Cup qualification failure and Juventus’ poor start to the season from home.
As announced by Juventus, Chiesa began a gradual return to squad training today at the Juventus centre at Continassa, taking part in some of the exercises as he continues working on his recovery.
The Bianconeri hope to have the 24-year-old winger back on the pitch at some point before the World Cup break in mid-November, allowing Massimiliano Allegri to count on a key figure once again.
Chiesa joined Juventus from Fiorentina in October 2020 and has scored 18 goals and provided 14 assists in 61 appearances across all competitions.
Wow! what a great news. Wishing him a happy return. Max will have reduced his number of excuses.
Cannot wait to see him return!
hope the medical team + allegri dont rush him back, be patient
It’s been far too long. Can’t wait to see him play.
Oh Phd Max will be patient. That is for sure. If he runs at 2 mph, he knows he will be punished and sent straight to the coma ritiro. There awaits master pupils Roberto King Carlos Sandro and brick layer Cafu Danilo to get that back, back, down, down revision in.
