Juventus star Federico Chiesa was introduced in the second half of tonight’s Champions League against PSG, making his first appearance in almost ten months.

The Italy international had been forced to the sidelines since January 10 due to a severe knee injury, suffered in a 4-3 win against Roma at the Stadio Olimpico.

He made his return to the pitch tonight when Massimiliano Allegri introduced him in the second half of a Champions League clash against PSG at the Allianz Stadium in Turin.

Chiesa replaced his compatriot Fabio Miretti at minute 74 and received a long applause from the Bianconeri supporters.

His involvement in the match was somehow surprising as Massimiliano Allegri had claimed on Tuesday that the ex-Fiorentina star was still not ready to play given that he had taken four days to recover after a friendly played on Thursday last week.

The Italy international has scored 18 goals in 61 appearances since his transfer from Fiorentina in October 2020.
