Juventus coach Thiago Motta has made three changes to his travelling Champions League squad for Wednesday’s league phase match away against RB Leipzig, dropping two players, but welcoming back Francisco Conceicao after his recent return from injury.
The Portugal international, who marked his return to the Bianconeri squad with a goal off the bench against Genoa over the weekend, is set for his first Champions League outing after securing a loan move from Porto in the summer.
Juventus have taken a squad of 22 players with them to Germany, one fewer than they named in the squad for the first round fixture against PSV Eindhoven two weeks ago. The injured Timothy Weah drops out, as does 18-year-old Vasilije Adzic, who were also unavailable against Genoa in Serie A over the weekend.
Otherwise, there are no real surprises in the latest Juve squad for Wednesday’s Champions League clash.
Motta has taken a strong cohort of six midfielders, including the likes of Teun Koopmeiners, Khephren Thuram and Douglas Luiz, plus a unit of five attackers made up of Nico Gonzalez, Francisco Conceicao, Dusan Vlahovic, Kenan Yildiz and Samuel Mbangula.
Motta is due to speak to the press for his customary pre-match press conference later on Tuesday afternoon, where he will likely discuss some of his potential selections.
Kick-off in tomorrow night’s match is scheduled for 20.00 BST.
