Il Corriere dello Sport reports Cristiano Giuntoli wants to reunite with Napoli midfielder André-Frank Zambo Anguissa at Juventus, but the Cameroon international has a €45m clause which is only valid for clubs outside Serie A.

Giuntoli signed Anguissa at Napoli in 2021 on an initial loan deal with an option to buy from Fulham. The Partenopei only spent €500,000 for the midfielder’s one-season loan and quickly made his transfer permanent in the summer of 2022 for €15.5m.

Now, according to Il Corriere dello Sport, Giuntoli wants to reunite with Anguissa in Turin, but Napoli are unwilling to sell the 28-year-old to their harshest rivals. Moreover, Anguissa has a €45m clause in his contract with the Partenopei, which is only valid for clubs outside Serie A.

According to the report, Juventus have already sounded out the midfielder’s availability, but the defending Serie A champions are unwilling to send him to Turin.

Juventus are expected to sign midfielder reinforcement in the January transfer window, following Paul Pogba and Nicolò Fagioli’s suspensions.
