Empoli defender Daniele Rugani will return to Juventus next season, after the Bianconeri bought out the co-ownership.

The young centre-back was owned by both the Tuscan side and the Old Lady, but the Serie A leaders announced today the clubs have reached an agreement.

The 20-year-old with remain with Maurizio Sarri's team until the end of the current campaign, before moving to Turin in the summer.

Juve will pay €3.5m to Empoli over the next four years, while Rugani has signed a deal until 2019.

“Juventus Football Club can today confirm that it has bought out the remaining half of Daniele Rugani’s registration rights from Empoli for a fee of €3.5 million to be paid over the next four seasons,” read a statement on Juventus’ official website.

“The player has signed an agreement keeping him with the Bianconeri until 30 June 2019.

“He will remain with Empoli on loan until the end of the 2014/15 campaign.”
