Juventus have reportedly told Adrien Rabiot he could sign a new contract in Turin at the same €7m per season salary, but if he wants €10m per year, then he will have to head to the Premier League.
The midfielder’s current deal is due to expire on June 30 and he can already begin to negotiate his next move as a free agent from the summer.
His performances for Juve in recent months have been arguably the best of his time there and the club is now eager to keep him.
According to Calciomercato.com, Rabiot was told in meetings with his mother and agent Veronique that he can sign a new two-year contract at the same €7m per season salary.
However, that is a long way off his €10m per season demands, which already scuppered last summer’s potential transfer to Manchester United.
The France international could still try to shop around for that wage, but is unlikely to find someone ready to pay it, even in the Premier League or at Paris Saint-Germain.
