Juventus are expected to close the 2020-21 financial year with €190.7m in losses, more than doubling the figure from a year ago.

The effects of the pandemic forcing all stadiums in Italy to exclude fans continue to be felt, as well as the early Champions League exit in the Round of 16.

Looking at the figures released by Juve’s parent company Exor today, Calcio e Finanza calculate this means Juventus will close the 2020-21 financial year with losses of €190.7m.

That will more than double the losses they had in 2019-20 of €89.7m.

It’d also be the fourth consecutive year running at a loss after €4.1m in 2015-16 and €42.6m in 2016-17.

Juventus are one of the only clubs in Italy to own their stadium and therefore have more revenue than most from ticket sales, so have been hit particularly hard by the pandemic.

Even today, stadiums are only open to 50 per cent capacity with fans able to enter if they can prove their COVID status.

  1. There’s so much talent in Italian right now, Juve should focus more on this, starting from scratch.
