Bayern Munich started face-to-face talks for Matthijs de Ligt today and Juventus could reportedly accept €80m plus bonuses, reinvesting that sum to get Nicolò Zaniolo from Roma and a new defender.

The Bundesliga club made its position clear with the lightning visit of director Hasan Salihamidzic this afternoon, flying in and back out again from Turin after three hours, during which he spoke to both the Bianconeri and De Ligt’s agent Rafaela Pimenta.

According to Sky Sport Italia and more, they have agreed basic personal terms with the Dutch defender, but are still a long way off a transfer fee.

Sportitalia maintain the deal could be cheaper than the original €100m asking price, because Juve are prepared to accept €75-80m plus add-ons to reach €90m.

That sum would then be reinvested to purchase creative midfielder Zaniolo from Roma at over €50m and a new defender to replace De Ligt.

Tuttomercatoweb calculated that anything more than €34.28m would count as a profit for Juventus, seeing as they purchased De Ligt from Ajax in 2019 for €75m plus up to €10.5m in add-ons, so much of that after three years has already been amortised.

Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United also want De Ligt, but the Dutchman seems to have his heart set on Bayern Munich and Juve know they’re not going to get the same fee from them as any of the Premier League big spenders.

  1. I knew they would cave at the first sign. Once again I am correct and called it from day 1. In some ways you cannot blame Juve. In a small pond they are a big fish and can have their way with smaller fry like Napoli and Roma. When they are met by a bigger team in Europe they must bow as is the rule of the jungle. Absolute joke of a football club. They can only get free scraps from clubs that have no purpose for their old toys. When was the last time Juve came to the door of Real Madrid or Bayern with cash…

  2. @U.S Lard “Once again I am correct and called it from day 1”. What a sad comment. Self praise is no praise.

  3. @Lynchy that is why I really enjoy LORD posting. Instead of having a coherent thought and bringing some opinions to the table, all it takes is a few words and you go into woke mode.🤣🤣🤣

I think that is a bit harsh to call Juventus a small club. They are a powerhouse in Italy, but have underachieved on the continent for decades. Do not be shocked by his words. Most Americans speak very plainly and are not shy to voice their opinions.

  4. @Lord Except Juventus were not in a strong position to begin with. De Ligt won’t renew and Juventus will lose him for free in two years. They could sell him next summer but with only one year remaining in his contract no club would pay more than 35-40 for him. Meaning this summer is their only chance to sell De Ligt for a good amount so even if they want 100, if nobody offers that they will have to settle for 80. By the way a few summers ago they went to Real’s door with 120M and bought Ronaldo. Stick to your comments about Allegri.

  5. LOL Lord replies to his own comments again using different names. what a sad story!! Cant expect anything more from an Inter fan

  6. Juve have to be real here, only man city can offer that and they aint interested – we will have to ask for 70meuros plus a player – only player i want is gnarby but were after zaniola

  7. Del piero
This guy load allegri is non than Cristiano fans boy he knows nothing about football I saw his comments everyway he hate juventus and now Ronaldo already fail at that csrapy club he always comes to the juventus online fans and talk nonsense actually as uventus we do not keep players who wants to leaves since from baggio to zidane until now and also di ligt is good defense but not that great if we can around 90 to 100m and invest on 2 to 3 good players I will salute arivabene

  8. @The MASTER sorry got to give it to LORD on this one. He did say repeatedly that De Ligt would be undersold and it looks to be the case. They have not made a loss, but the more important question is who and will they get a better replacement. I would not hold my breath if you take a look at the king makers at the club. If you take a look at Inter, they are not budging on Skriniar and it is easy to figure it our. Marotta

  9. Angelo
In addition, it looks like he has a 5-year old’s brain. It is less an opinion, but more of an outburst of anger. I can only imagine what disappointment is awaiting the poor lad once he off the drugs (if it ever happens).

  10. LMAO 😂😂😂 Ros you took the bait and it seems you’re jealous. I enjoy coming here to see people getting worked up by LORD. For someone with a 5 year old brain, to his credit he actually talks about the issues. That must be a smart 5 year old. Like it or not there is nothing to argue about. Juve are bigger then both Roma and Napoli. The reality is when they step outside the house, clubs like the mentioned Bayern are just bigger if you are talking about financial clout and sporting success. I think reality hurts a lot of Juve fans who are desperate to taste champions league success.

  11. I didnt think about it until now. But it really feels like this dude spam this forum to the next level, Im getting a bit sad here, and here I thought he invested his entire life on Allegri:
