Juventus’s strong defensive form at the start of the 2024-25 season has earned Thiago Motta and his team a new Serie A record with Saturday’s 3-0 win against a supporter-less Genoa

Juventus set new Serie A record after Genoa win

No other team in the Serie A three-point era has ever gone six matches at the start of the season without scoring a goal, until that feat was achieved by Juventus on Saturday evening.

Nobody in Serie A has yet scored past the Juve defence, following three 3-0 victories and three 0-0 draws from the Old Lady’s first six games of the 2024-25 campaign.

11th-placed Roma currently have the second-best defensive record in the league, with three goals conceded from their first five matches of the season, although that could change after Sunday’s test against Venezia

Antonio Conte’s Napoli are not far behind with four goals conceded from their first five matches of the campaign, but again, that could change by the end of the night, with a home match against Monza coming up on Sunday evening.
