According to recent reports from Sky Sport Italia, Juventus sent a scout to Wednesday evening’s Champions League clash between Royal Antwerp and Shakhtar Donetsk to observe 21-year-old midfielder Georgiy Sudakov in-person.

Sudakov, an attacking midfielder by trade, has made quite an impression in Ukraine since making his debut in 2020. To date, he has 12 league goals and nine assists to his name from 54 matches, as well as two assists from 11 appearances in the Champions League.

The youngster has continued his goalscoring prowess from the no. 10 position this season as well, scoring twice within his first four league appearances of the campaign.

On Wednesday, a Juventus delegate sent by Cristiano Giuntoli was in Belgium to watch Sudakov as he and his teammates pulled off an impressive come-back to register a 3-2 win, having been two goals down at half-time.

Sky, reported via TMW, claimed that Juventus are heavily interested in the midfield talent, and could be poised to make an offer to bring him over to Serie A in January.

However a move mid-season would likely be reliant on Shakhtar’s willingness to accept an initial loan deal with an option or possible obligation to buy.
