Multiple sources in Italy claim Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli has made an offer to extend Adrien Rabiot’s contract.

The France international’s deal with the Old Lady expires next month, so Giuntoli has made a move to extend the midfielder’s stay at the club.

La Gazzetta dello Sport and Sky Sport Italia report that Bianconeri’s director has sent his offer, but Rabiot hasn’t yet replied through his mother and agent Veronique.

Gazzetta reports that Juventus’ proposal is a two-year deal with an option for a further campaign. The salary would remain the same, so circa €9m per season, including add-ons.

According to the report, Juventus have also offered Rabiot to become the team’s captain after Danilo’s exit.

The two parties are not believed to have yet reached an agreement.

According to Gazzetta, Rabiot’s mother wants the France midfielder to become the highest earner in the team, above Dusan Vlahovic.

The Serbian striker’s salary will automatically rise to €12m next season, but Juventus are in talks to spread his wages onto a longer deal and hope to reach an agreement with both Rabiot and Vlahovic in the coming weeks.
