Juventus have sent their first formal proposal to sign out-of-favour Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho, according to reports in Italy.
Though it has already been a busy summer for the Bianconeri recruitment staff, the club are still hoping to sign one more player before the close of the summer transfer window later this week.
The area that Juventus are focusing on strengthening is on the wing, despite the recent arrivals of Nico Gonzalez from Fiorentina and Francisco Conceicao on loan from Porto.
Juventus send first offer for Sancho
According to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio, Juventus have informed Manchester United that they are willing to pay a fee of around €7m-€8m to sign Sancho on a straight loan deal for the 2024-25 season.
That would be a similar structure of deal to the one that Juventus agreed with Porto for Conceicao.
For that price though, Juventus hope that United will continue to contribute part of Sancho’s hefty salary.
Juventus are now waiting to hear back with United’s response, which they will likely receive on Thursday.
If the move were to go through, Sancho would become Juve’s ninth signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Conceicao and Nico Gonzalez, plus Teun Koopmeiners from Atalanta, Pierre Kalulu from Milan, Juan Cabal from Verona, Khephren Thuram from Nice, Michele Di Gregorio from Monza and Douglas Luiz from Aston Villa.
